Green Velvet

Unlike other yogurt shops, at Velvet Yogurt we offer 100% Biodegradable cups, spoons, napkins, paper towels, and pretty much any other paper product we offer. Being “green” is very important to us and we strive to continue to take an active role in preserving our environment.

  Environmental Awareness

When we decided to open Velvet, one of the most important questions we had to ask ourselves was this, “how do we open a yogurt shop and be ‘Green’ at the same time”. With that in mind, we decided no plastic or Styrofoam! Plastic can take up to 200,000 years to decompose and with all the spoons we were hoping to give out, we wanted to be certain our Velvet spoons would not be around longer than our shop will. Styrofoam was also out of the question, so we found 100% biodegradable and compostable cups. Everyday we have room to improve and strive to get better and more efficient with the products we use.
