What Makes Velvet... Well Velvet?

We believe Velvet is unlike any other self serve frozen yogurt shop in Orange County. When you walk through our doors you may first notice our hand carved pub tables (by all the locals), or our comfy leather lounge chairs, or maybe even the hand crafted art work adorning our walls. We like to think of our shops as a “coffee shop” vibe…a place where you can hang out, enjoy delicious yogurt, visit with friends and walk away feeling satisfied.

Our small shop in San Clemente is located in the heart of down town nestled between two very lively and popular family-owned businesses. We opened our doors in July of 2008 and have received “Best of San Clemente, People’s Choice Awards” five years straight. We love our community and will continue to concentrate on little things that often get lost in the bustle of Orange County living, like getting to know the names of our customers and offering tasty yogurt and toppings in products that’s good for the environment.

  Support for Local Artists
Since we opened our doors in San Clemente, we have donated some of our wall space to local artists. They hang up art work (and perhaps make a sale or two) and we get fun, fresh art work to decorate our walls!

  Artsy Night
During our slower months we like to invite local musicians to come play acoustic music for our guests! What a treat it is to have live music while enjoying a cup of yogurt!

  Local School Fundraisers

We are always happy to support our local schools. We’ve had PTA fundraisers, teacher fundraisers and are pretty much open to do any fun, creative ways to support schools in our communities.

  Happy Hour
This is one of our most popular promotions. We are very proud to say that we were the first yogurt shop to offer a Happy Hour!?! It was a crazy idea and created as a way for us to say “Thank You” to the community of San Clemente for all their support! From 3pm – 5pm every Friday we offer 50% off your yogurt! It’s a deal you just can’t pass up!
